The Team

The Kreher Preserve & Nature Center is maintained by two full time team members and a small army of dedicated, part-time educators, naturalists, and administrators.

Michael Buckman, Manager

Michael grew up with a passion for nature and the outdoors and graduated with a Zoology degree from Auburn University. After a decade focused on nature education at Callaway Gardens, he joined the team at the KPNC and manages the day-to-day operation, facilities maintenance, land management, and overall administration.

Sarah Crim, Education Director

Sarah has her B.S. and M.S. in Forestry from Auburn University and enjoys working with children and adults as they further their outdoor education and foster their love for nature.  Sarah is the creator of and lead teacher at the KPNC’s Woodland Wonders Nature Preschool and she coordinates many of the KPNC’s environmental education initiatives.
