By using nets and other equipment, we will collect and identify aquatic macroinvertebrates, which include crayfish, mussels, snails, and insects that live at the bottom of streams. We will also use hands-on activities to learn about macroinvertebrates, which are very interesting critters who can help us determine water quality.

This workshop will be most impactful for elementary and middle-school aged children (5-12), but children of any age are invited to participate.  Parents/guardians will be responsible for supervision of their child(ren) for the entire workshop. Parents who complete the training will be certified in  AWW Stream Biomonitoring.

Registration is $5 for each participant in the family with the exception of children under 3. Registration closes on May 15th. No refunds will be given after that deadline.
